Miyahara (宫原眼科), Taichung

” Each place has its own purpose to stand out amidst uncertainty ,and on each visit to any particular place, I have my own missions to explore and to feel the sense of the places. Today, I ‘d like to share with you a soulful and charming space in Taichung where you can fall in love easily”. Loving ice cream 😘

I would say Miyahara is a wonderful example of how a great branding can shape the overall customers ‘ experience. Miyahara to me is about having the well-designed experience in every sense ! A chance to breathe a history of Taichung. A true sense of a place…

In my soul, Miyahara can be somewhere so chic inside out. How can an Eye Hospital be conversed nicely as an ice cream paradise with one of the most beautiful ceilings on earth. It is oh-my-god moment with this high ceiling and every lovely corner means something special for me 🙏

After our first lovely night in Taipei, we ( ex-Dover gang ) took a High Speed Rail (also known as THSR, HSR, or Gāotíe) to Taichung which we booked earlier online to get an early bird discount on the way back. It took only about an hour to reach Taichung HSR station and taking a taxi from Taichung HSR station to Miyahara was our best option. (About 210 TWD$).

If you choose to travel by a normal train, it would take you about 2 hours and 20 minutes to reach a beautiful Taichung Railway station where you can have a lovely walk to Miyahara easily.

For us, we reached Miyahara around 10am, at an opening time so we can avoid long queues of like-minded ice cream mania. All in all, I do believe that it is crucial to do something that matters to your soul 🙏 and having the yummy ice cream is perhaps the guilt – free indulgence that you can afford every day.

A kind of a soulful mission 😇
