Dubai Creek

I assume that most of the first time travelers going to Bangkok will take a chance to enjoy exploring Chao Phraya river by boat. Therefore, I guess it is almost the same ritual for those who are fond of cultural-focused experience to explore Dubai Creek (a salted water creek) via Abra.

Today I would like to share my cheerful trip with my super nice friend, Jun June across Dubai Creek via Abra, water taxis. Nothing much to say , I think the easiest way to explore the history and the charming part of Dubai you may need to immerse yourself in Deira part where traditional markets are located. You will enjoy going back to the past of Dubai.

Jun June and I started our trip at Al Ras, metro station which connects you to The Heritage House, Dubai which I posted earlier. With this metro station, you can easily reach Gold Souk or Spice Souk which are the traditional markets. You also might cross Dubai Creek via Abra to explore further as you wish from this metro station.

This time of the year in December I believe that traveling via Abra across Dubai Creek is just lovely activity and will cost you only 1 dirham. My photos were taken on March 7, 2015 and the weather was also super nice back then.

Happy weekend, everyone !
