If you are in Barcelona, Spain and you fancy a fresh gourmet market. Then, Mercat de la Boqueria is definitely your gastronomic destination.
It is just off La Rambia. There are more than 300 stalls with various food displays from Catalonia and other parts of the world. It opens during 8:00 – 20:30 hr from Monday to Saturday. You can also eat here at some gourmet kiosks at El Quim or Bar Pinotxo or Bar Central la Boqueria( in the back of the market). Just walk around! You can find something for your taste buds and your eyes.I had my own mission to look for our Thai fruits here in Spain. I just would like to know how well our Thai fruits in the global market. And finally I found the signage indicated as “rambutan, mangosteen, and tamarind from Thailandia”. That was so good! I didn’t buy them, of course. You definitely find the fresher versions in Thailand. Here in Barcelona, you can enjoy just anything foodies such as ready-made fresh fruit salads, fresh juices or fresh crabs , prawns , eels, octopus or even sweets. Everybody is happy eating, selling and maybe just walking around here. It is a real paradise for all!http://www.boqueria.info/
